Wyoming
Wyoming is a place that I have lived and painted in for months at a time. When I was 16, I worked on a ranch at the base of the Bighorn Mountains (in the Hole-in-the-Wall country). Over the years I returned many times and even tried to live there permanently. It is a country that is close to my heart and taught me a great deal, not only artistically, but also personally, which has led to a substantial body of work, including several major polyptychs. I was also in residence three times at the Ucross Artist Residency.
