Dance
“To Pina …” is inspired by the dance of Pina Bausch, Trisha Brown’s movement, and Vicki Shick’s performance of it. Over the years I have worked with and been inspired by models who are also dancers and who have shared their movements with me while I painted. Among them was Shawnrey Notto and Judith Sims; I consider working with them as a collaboration, not simply a traditional artist/model relationship.
