Stories
I am inspired by stories – really, more by myths – and have made paintings around stories that are particularly meaningful to me, such as Laila & Majnun, Venus and Adonis, and other psychological themes that are meaningful to me. Often, this work also refers to and comes from other art that precedes me, which I transform into my own language and from my personal understanding of their meaning and relevance to myself and today.
